April Crocs News & Important Dates

Registration is filling at record speed, so please don't delay if you plan to return this summer (and we sure hope you will!).

There are a few important April dates to put in your calendar:

    Swim Suit Sizing Event

    Sunday, April 27 3:00-5:00pm (open-house drop-in)

Out of Breath Sports will be on location (HOA2 Clubhouse) with sample suits to try on before you purchase an optional team suit.

    Stroke & Turn Certification Classes

We encourage you to consider Stroke & Turn Officiating as an option to fulfill your volunteer requirement for the season. While there is a certification required, you do not have to have a background in swimming. There are some real perks to the position as well:

    • You fulfill your entire volunteer commitment by working half the meets your swimmers participate in (and only one shift of half of the meets). If we have enough S&T judges, you only work 2 shifts for the season.
    • In subsequent years, you can simply take a recertification test instead of attending classes.
    • Your schedule is arranged in advance of the season based on your availability.
    • The benefit of the doubt always goes to the swimmer! The purpose of the position is to maintain fairness and to help with learning and development.

If you have any interest in (or questions about) serving as a Stroke and Turn Official this season, please fill out this FORM for our Crocs S&T coordinator.

In-Person Training Dates (recommended for new officials) (sign up here):

    • Thursday, April 24, 6:00pm-8:00pm @ Koelbel Library (5430 S. Biscay Cir, Centennial CO, 80015)
    • Saturday, April 26, 10:00am-12:00pm @ Koelbel Library (5430 S. Biscay Cir, Centennial CO, 80015)
    • Saturday, April 26, 1:30pm-3:30pm @ Highlands Ranch Library (9292 S. Ridgeline, Littleton, CO 80129)

On-line Certification is available (fee: $25.00):

For those Crocs families that have served in certified positions in the past, you have also received recertification options in your email today. If you have questions or are unable to find that information, you can reply here and we will be sure you have what you need. Thank you for fulfilling your volunteer requirement and serving the team in this way.

It may be snowing today, but it will be Crocs season before we know it!
