Important Update! Official's Training Schedule Change

Announcement: Due to an unfortunate event for the head of official's training, this week's trainings that were scheduled for April 24 & April 26 are cancelled

New training dates are listed below.

Why consider "jumping in" as an official? There are so many benefits! Not only does it allow our kids to have a swim season (we truly couldn't do it without parents who step up to do this for the kids), but there are perks for the parents who do it, as well:

    1. Fewer shifts to complete your volunteer requirement. Tell us when you're available, and get your schedule before the season even begins. In a typical season, you will work 2 shifts and 1 post-season shift. Yep, that's it!

    2. You are quite literally the closest person to the action! You won't miss a beat - see your kids, your friend's kids, your neighbor's kids, the race everyone is talking about...

    3. A deeper understanding of the sport. And you don't have to start out with all of that knowledge! The training gives you everything you need to be equipped to do the job! If you don't have a swimming background, it is TOTALLY FINE! All you need is a willingness to do your best to be fair. The goal is to keep fair competition and always give the benefit of the doubt to the swimmer. Worried about making a bad call? You are NOT the final stop. The deck ref will override calls that are wrong. Not sure? Just don't call it. We also have mentors on our team that you can observe for a shift.

We are in need of 2-3 more parents for this season.
