Castle Pines Crocs vs Piney Creek Heat

Saturday, June 21 @ HOME!

Crocs Warm-Up: 6:40-7:00am

Arrival time: Please arrive by 6:30am so swimmers are ready to be in the water by warm-up time.

Volunteers:

Check in: for both first and second shifts no later than 7:00am at the pavilion-side gate

First Shift Volunteers in place by 7:25am.

Listen for announcements from DJ Pete about timers meetings and officials meetings (7:00-7:15am) near the starter's tent (northwest corner of the pool).

Second Shift Volunteers must also check-in by 7:00am

Not Signed Up? You still need to check in--some roles may still need to be filled, and it is a team requirement.

Meet Details, Location & Setup:

Event 1 starts promptly at 7:30am following the National Anthem

Where: Home Sweet Home, Go CROCS!

Home team set up: On the grassy area near the pavilion/playground side of the pool (East side).

• Do not set up inside of the gated area of the pool (reserved for coaches and observers).
• The tennis courts, basketball courts, and baby pool are closed during the meet.
• No pets allowed inside the gated area of the pool.

Meet Programs:

Meet programs/Heat Sheets: Meet Program/Heat Sheets and Entries by Athlete list are attached at the bottom of this email.

• We encourage you to print and bring your own copy--there will only be one posted at the pool (on the wall of the clubhouse)
• See the Family Guide to Swim Meets if you are not sure how to navigate these programs.
• Mark your swimmers with a Sharpie on their right shoulders and their arms as noted in the guide after applying sunscreen! Coaches have limited time to help with this.

Relays:

• To check your swimmer's relay status:
  • Open the ENTRY LIST and find their name.
  • Relay assignments (A/B/C) are listed alongside their events.
• If your swimmer cannot swim in their relay, please notify a coach immediately--this affects other teammates.

Combined Events: Are highlighted on the heat sheet/meet program.

Heating:

Where: Located under the large forest green tent on the southwest corner of the pool area.

New: Swimmers will check in to heating at the swimmer check-in area which will be clearly marked at the heating entrance. Swimmers and heating volunteers only past the check-in point.

• Swimmers move from heating to a staging area behind the starting blocks.
• A number sign is located near heating to indicate which events are being called.
• Only heating volunteers and coaches are allowed in the heating or staging areas. 

Concessions: The Crocs Cafe

Located under the pavilion serving:

• Breakfast: Coffee, donuts, breakfast burritos
• Lunch: Pizza, hotdogs, drinks & snacks
• Payments: cash or venmo

Heat Winners: If your swimmer wins their heat, they will get a popsicle stick. Have them take this popsicle stick up to the concession stand to exchange it for a prize!
